Everyday we strive to be the very best we can through our own exercise regimens, eating habits, social connections with our friends and family. This helps us to maintain a positive daily attitude towards what life brings us . Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming to focus on all of this at one time . Trying to find balance in our daily lives can be challenging . We try to take one day at a time to keep it simple. With our wellness, health and nutrition backgrounds, we believe you can start with just three daily habits to put into practice.
HEALTHY HABIT #1
Its important to always have a water bottle with you through out your day. Starting your day off with 8oz of water wakes up the body and flushes the toxins. When we fill our water bottles up on our way out the door, these are a few ingredients we throw in to maximize our total hydration: lemon, cayenne, turmeric and apple cider vinegar. Our favorites!
Starting the day by moving your body is one of the best ways to kick start your metabolism. As fitness instructors, we teach our classes first thing in the morning. We recommend at least 30 minutes a day whether you squeeze it in early morning, early afternoon or evening. Boosting that heart rate increases your metabolism for the rest of the day. Choose what works best for you whether its a brisk walk or your favorite strength training class, get out there and MOVE!
GET YOUR REST
If you are busy bees like us, there are never enough hours in the day! It is so important to take the time to slow down and relax even if it is a quick twenty minute cat nap during the day. Our minds stay clearer, our energy levels peak, and our immune system stays strong. The recommended daily dose of sleep is eight hours! If you are coffee drinkers or latte lovers like us…we try not indulge late in the day. This will make sure we can wind down from the day and get as close to eight hours as we can. We love our sleep masks and cozy pjs!
Just incorporating these three simple daily moves into your life can make a huge difference in your overall health and happiness. When you feel your best you are a happier person to be around!
