With Spring here, there is so much to talk about when it comes to hot fitness trends for 2017! There are new fashion items to add to your closet, smoothie bowls to try out, and a way to get your booty in shape for summer! Here’s what we’re talking about:
A hot new trend is the off the shoulder beach cover up dress adorned with embroidery and fringe. Have you seen the new Gaucho pants?? We have them and we love them! We have seen them worn as beach bottoms, daytime slip-on pants, and even in the gym yoga class! Also on trend are flats! They now have tassels, texture and shine! Ankle ties, wraps, and buckles are all part of the new flat sandal this season! Still on trend in the athleisurewear world are the high waisted ripped leggings, racer-back bras, and Adidas Tanks!
We can’t forget about staying in shape this season! Who doesn’t want those tight buns this summer? One of the hot fitness trends for 2017 involves simple toning moves to get a cute booty. One of our favorites is the curtsy lunge to the right and left side. Do 3 sets of eight on each side. Adding on…standing single leg dead-lift with or without weights. Do these three sets of 8 as well on both legs. And repeat three rounds! Work hard babe!!!
Smoothie bowls are all the rage right now! Everyone wants a quick healthy smoothie bowl for lunch on the go! You may even have a smoothie food truck stop in your neighborhood. Local smoothie shops are popping up everywhere. We love to make our own smoothie bowls! One of our favorite is the blueberry bowl ! There are so many healthy toppings and ingredients to choose from. Our favorites ingredients are blueberries and bananas. We love to top things off with chia seeds and toasted coconut flakes as well.
Here is our blueberry smoothie bowl recipe:
- 2 cups frozen blueberries
- 1 container greek yogurt
- 1/2 of banana
- 3 tb almond milk
- 1 tb honey

Topping ingredients :
- 1/2 banana sliced
- 1/4 cup granola (gluten free)
- 2 tb chia seeds
- 2 tb sliced almonds
- 2 tb toasted coconut flakes
Top these on the smoothie bowl and enjoy!
